Today students worked on their graph making skills by making two line graphs in Activity 95. The purpose of this was to discover how mass, force, and distance affect gravitational pull. Students received a line graph checklist to make sure they had all necessary elements of their graphs. Homework is analysis questions 1-4. #4 IS GRADED WITH THE ANALYZING DATA RUBRIC AND IS DUE BY WEDNESDAY.
***ALL MISSING ASSIGNMENTS DUE BY WEDNESDAY 11/05/13 Today we finished Activity 93, and started Activity 94. In Activity 94, we again learned about remote sensing, a way of measuring data such as temperature, elevation, etc. Students explored the characteristics of Earth, Mars, and Venus, by applying what they learned about false-colored images and 2D and 3D topographical maps from the previous activities. Students completed Act. 94 Analysis 1-4 as homework.
Greetings! I have had students enquire about extra credit opportunities, as the grading period is coming to a close. Students may complete Activity 91 "How Long are the Planets" in their lab notebooks, and complete Analysis questions 1-4 for 5 bonus points. Students must make a scale model showing the sizes of all the planets. A drawing/diagram or picture(s) of the model is required. Also, keep in mind that if you have not used your bathroom pass, this is worth 5 bonus points as well. ![]()
