Today we went to the computer lab to complete Activity 51. Students will need to make sure they are on the full webpage, not the mobile version. All instructions are in the book, but there are some specific instructions on the sheet attached as well. Students must go to www.wunderland.com and hover over the weather tab. Click the title "Weather History" and students can choose whichever city they like, and then adjust the date to November 29th 2013 to begin collecting their data. Keep in mind it is a long page, so some of the information is hiding in a table towards the bottom of the webpage. ![]()
Today we started class with a warm up examining how different regions, cultures, and people groups may respond differently to natural disasters. We then used the rest of class time to pass back tests and mars lander and make changes. Students put assignments that regraded were placed in the bin with a sticky note for changes made.
Welcome back from break! Today we started our unit on Weather and Atmosphere, and started a discussion of how weather affects our daily lives. Students read and completed Activity 50 with their group, and filled out Student sheet 50.1, and were required to not only circle disagree or agree, but also write down the rationale for both themselves and the group members.
