Today students learned how to roughly calculate how much of the Earth's surface is covered by land vs water. Students used Student Sheet 54.1 to roughly count water and land by counting the squares and making a tally marks for each category. Students then shared data with their groups to calculate the mean percentage of land and water for their groups, and then lastly combined all data to find the class data set. Student homework is Analysis questions 1 and 2. ![]()
