Today students started class with a warm up by writing what they predicted to be the main differences and similarities with water and land and how they heat up, cool down, and hold on to heat. Students then began working with their groups to design an investigation for Activity 55 "Heating Earth's Surfaces." Students will be investigating how land and water temperature respond to heat, and how they retain/release heat. Please use the attached document for your investigation (FYI this is a work sample). Homework for tonight will be to finish designing the experiment, as we will be do the lab tomorrow. If your table group did not finish designing the experiment, please write a rough draft tonight and I will approve or advise revision at the beginning of class before we begin the lab. ![]()
